Network's Expansion Vital, Says Communications Authority of Thailand.

Feb. 20--The expansion of the Communications Authority of Thailand's CDMA network is vital to the future of the organisation after privatisation, say CAT managers.
Today they will propose to the CAT's board bidding conditions for the network expansion.
A controversial condition would allow the winner not only to invest in the network and lease it to the CAT for 12 years, but also handle marketing for the CDMA mobile phone service.
CAT president Dhiraphongs Suddhinond said that the expansion of the network to offer nationwide coverage was necessary for the future of the CAT after it was privatised.
