Peoria, Ill.-Area Economy Remains Stable.

Feb. 26--PEORIA, Ill.--The central Illinois economy remained stable in the fourth quarter despite national economic stresses, according to a Bradley University report.
The Peoria area's overall stable economy, and continued low unemployment numbers end a slowing trend that spanned the last five consecutive quarters, said Bernard Goitein, director of the Center for Business and Economic Research at Bradley University, which compiles the Statistical Composite of the Peoria-Pekin Economy for the Journal Star each quarter.
