Alan Greenspan to Speak Before Financial Services Panel in Milwaukee.

Feb. 27--When Alan Greenspan testifies before Congress, he is always walking a tight rope -- one misstep can cause financial markets to panic.

But when the Federal Reserve Board chairman begins to speak in front of the House Financial Services Committee at 9 a.m. Milwaukee time today, he will be required to juggle and stay upright in a growing cross wind as well.

Most observers expect him to get across the potential abyss just fine.

"His analysis of the economy will probably be reasonably optimistic and constructive," said James L. Kochan, a long-time Greenspan watcher who is a senior vice president of the Strong Funds in Menomonee Falls.
