Judge Removes Only Obstacle to Hummer Sales.

Mar. 1--SOUTH BEND, Ind.--Just a week before AM General Corp. is to begin producing Hummer H2s for dealer showrooms, a federal judge removed the only remaining obstacle to sales of the new vehicle.
On Thursday, U.S. District Judge Robert L. Miller Jr. refused to issue a preliminary injunction requested by DaimlerChrysler Corp. The injunction could have stopped H2 production in its tracks.
The federal judge sided with AM General and partner General Motors Corp. when he ruled DaimlerChrysler has virtually no chance of proving the H2's grille would harm the famous "Jeep" brand.
