Investment Firm Eyes Foreign Equities First in Thailand.

Mar. 8--MFC Asset Management Plc plans to launch new funds covering foreign investment, property and retirement savings.

The foreign investment fund would probably be started in April, followed by three retirement funds and a property fund, all targetting retail investors, said Chesada Loha-Unchit, the company's president.

"We are the only one of five asset managers approved by the Securities and Exchange Commission to offer a fund investing in foreign stocks."
