Mar. 12--The American Gaming Association has permitted a sneak peek at part of its 2002 State of the States report on the condition of the commercial casino gambling industry.
This year's version, which will be officially released in coming weeks, includes a special poll that found (drum roll please): "Casino customers are just like average Americans," said president and chief executive Frank J. Fahrenkopf Jr.
Well, imagine that.
The association, and Harrah's Entertainment Inc. in its similar polling work before that, has been annually rediscovering this mirror-image statistical fact for years.
