UtiliCorp United Changes Name to Aquila Inc.

Mar. 19--UtiliCorp United Inc. retired its name Monday, replacing it with Aquila Inc., the name once reserved for its energy trading subsidiary.
The change, which became effective Monday, will not only displace the UtiliCorp name, but Aquila also will be used to label other divisions.
What UtiliCorp once called Aquila, its energy trading and risk management business, now is Aquila Merchant Services.
UtiliCorp Networks Canada, which distributes power in Canada and British Columbia, will become Aquila Networks Canada by the end of the year.
