Government Slows Wireless Industry's Wishes, FCC Chief Says.

Mar. 20--ORLANDO, Fla.--The nation's top telecommunications regulator told the cellular industry that finding more radio spectrum for wireless phone service was akin to an "infantry man's crawl."
"Those things are on the table and they are being pushed," said Federal Communications Commission chairman Michael Powell.
Mr. Powell said the government has moved slowly in addressing one of the wireless industry's chief needs, because various government agencies must sign off on any airwave auctions.
