Mar. 31--Allen Questrom makes leadership look easy.
He's so natural at promoting simple truths and core values, and reducing business strategies to their essence.
Prime example: Customers shop at J.C. Penney for the merchandise, not the service.
So that's where Questrom focused when he began reviving the dismal department store chain 18 months ago.
