University of Buffalo Business School Gets $250,000 Donation.

Apr. 14--A former top executive at Praxair Inc. has donated $250,000 to the University at Buffalo School of Management, for the naming of a lecture hall in a building planned for the North Campus.

H. William Lichtenberger's name will be attached to one of three dedicated lecture halls in the planned Alfiero Center. Construction of the $7 million center is scheduled to begin next year.

Lichtenberger retired from Praxair as its chairman and chief executive officer in 2000. He graduated from UB's Master's of Business Administration program in 1966.

He attended the MBA program at night while he was a manager at the former Union Carbide Research and Engineering...
