Apr. 16--WKMG-Channel 6, the Orlando CBS television affiliate, will establish an office at Florida Today in Melbourne as part of a new reporting partnership.
The arrangement, announced Monday, means that Channel 6 will broadcast some of its Brevard County reports from the newsroom of the Melbourne paper. The TV station will also rely on Today reporters to enhance its coverage of the U.S. space program.
Teams from both operations will also work together on other types of televised reports, according to Henry Maldonado, general manager of Channel 6.
