Levi Strauss Reports Severance Package Deal Reached for Texas Employees.

Apr. 18--Levi Strauss & Co. has successfully completed negotiations with the Union of Needletrades Industrial and Textile Employees (UNITE) regarding separation packages for employees at plants in Brownsville and San Benito, a company spokesman said Wednesday.
"The package is designed to help workers successfully leave the company, especially those individuals that have made working for Levi Strauss & Co. their lifetime work," Jose Villase?or, Levi's spokesman, said.
As announced last week, the two Cameron County plants along with plants in Georgia and El Paso, will close this year as Levi's continues to shift operations from the United States to offshore...
