Peoria, Ill., Center Helps Local Small Businesses Gain Grant Money.

Apr. 30--PEORIA, Ill.--The federal government has $2 billion to give to small businesses and Ken Klotz wants central Illinois firms to get their share.
"The Small Business Innovative Research program provides money for research and development, for something that's never been done before or taking something and applying it in a different way," said Klotz, director of the Small Business Technology Center at Bradley University.
To help small businesses -- those with 500 employees or less -- take advantage of these funding opportunities, Bradley is hosting a grant and proposal workshop at One Technology Plaza at 211 Fulton St. from 8 a.m. to 3:45 p.m. on...
