Leader at Bellevue, Wash.-Based Puget Sound Energy Gets Ready for Long Haul.

May 12--Since Steve Reynolds was hired to make Puget Sound Energy a kinder, gentler utility, it's probably to be expected that nobody has a harsh word to say about Puget's new chief executive.

"He seems to be a straight shooter, a nice guy," said Tom Anderson, a public utility district manager from Bellingham who has clashed with Puget frequently over the years.

"The one word that flashes in my mind?" said Susan Ackerman, manager of regulatory affairs and assistant counsel for Northwest Natural Gas Co. in Portland, who has known Reynolds for years. "Nice."
