Group Announces Game Plan for Professional Football Stadium in Los Angeles.

May 16--Seeking to quell a potential political firestorm, the head of a group seeking to bring a National Football League team back to Los Angeles is expected to announce today it will privately finance a new stadium but might need help acquiring land.
At a news conference scheduled for this afternoon, Tim Leiweke of the Anschutz Entertainment Group is expected to say the group will seek the city's help only in buying enough land for a stadium -- with the cost to be reimbursed from revenues over the coming years.
