Hollywood, Fla.-Based Airplane Parts Firm Makes Income of $3.9 Million.

May 29--The airline industry remains gloomy these days, but Hollywood-based parts manufacturer Heico Corp. on Tuesday posted profits yet again, citing a growing portfolio of products and a shift into more military-related sales.
The company also forecast better news mid-term, predicting profits will rise 25 to 40 percent in the second half of this fiscal year and announcing a deal with UAL Corp.'s United Airlines that could generate up to $150 million in parts sales over the next seven years.
For the quarter ended April 30, Heico said it posted $3.9 million, or 18 cents a share, in net income. That's down 23 percent from $4.8 million, or 22 cents a share,...
