Toyota, Lexus Top J.D. Power Quality Survey.

May 31--Automobiles are getting better, with Japanese cars and trucks exhibiting the highest quality and domestic automakers much improved, J.D. Power and Associates reported Thursday.
Power, the Southern California researcher and consultancy, released its 16th annual Initial Quality Study on Thursday. Ultimately, there were few surprises as Toyota was named as the top automaker and its Lexus brand continued to be the source of the highest-quality vehicles.
In the study, nearly 65,000 people who bought or leased a 2002 model-year vehicle were asked about what had gone wrong with their new vehicles after 90 days of ownership.
