Existing Shareholders Buy 50 Million New Shares of Italian-Thai Development.

May 31--Existing shareholders have bought all 50 million new shares offered in Italian-Thai Development Plc at 10 baht each, the company told the Stock Exchange of Thailand yesterday.

Retail shareholders bought 46.11 million shares, while institutional shareholders purchased 2.08 million.

Foreign institutional shareholders bought 1.75 million shares and foreign retail shareholders took 52,300 shares.

The shares were offered between May 10 and 16.

The 50 million shares are among 173 million new ordinary shares issued under a plan to restructure the company's debts totalling 12.85 billion baht.

The plan was approved by the Central Bankruptcy Court in April....
