East Aurora, N.Y.-Based Moog Wins Air Force Contract to Repair Jet Hardware.

May 31--Moog Inc. has won a $2.2 million contact from the U.S. Air Force to repair flight control hardware on F-15 fighter jets, the Elma aerospace company said Thursday.

The contract, which could be worth up to $10 million if the Air Force exercises options for additional work through 2007, is the first work of this type that Moog has received from the U.S. military.

"We do lots of this sort of work for commercial airlines," said Susan Johnson, a Moog spokeswoman. "But rarely have the chance to do it on military aircraft because they usually do it themselves."
