Trade Representatives from Mexico to Open Offices in Kansas City, Mo.

Jun. 4--Two of Mexico's largest cities will open trade offices in Kansas City this fall, the result of efforts by Kansas City to boost trade with Mexico.

The cities of Guadalajara and Monterrey, Mexico's second- and third-largest cities, will place trade representatives in a center that will include the Mexican Consulate and the Kansas City-Mexico Business Development Office, said Kansas City Councilwoman Bonnie Sue Cooper.

Cooper and three other council members recently returned from a trip to Mexico for a meeting of the North American International Trade Corridor Partnership, a group trying to foster trade along Interstate 35 in Mexico and the United States....
