Life-Science Ideas Win Michigan Grants.

Jun. 6--LANSING, Mich.--Programs that screen for genetic mutations affecting the central nervous system, treat prostate cancer and improve the mobility of seniors are among 18 life science proposals that received $45 million from the state Wednesday.

The Michigan Life Sciences Corridor Fund awarded 12 research facilities, companies and industry groups the money to help develop the state's fledgling life sciences industry. Some research facilities and companies got funding for more than one program.
