University of Bridgeport, Conn., Grad Wins Traffic Safety Design Competition.

Jun. 11-- BRIDGEPORT, Conn.--Anna Zimnoch Mastriano had been stuck in plenty of highway back-ups because of drivers looking at accidents on the other side.
So when an international competition for designs that make driving safer was announced, the University of Bridgeport graduate decided to make something that not only would make the roads safer, but also alleviate rubbernecking. Her design of a portable safety screen that would hide accidents from prying eyes won Mastriano first place and $5,000 in the World Traffic Safety Symposium contest April 15.
University of Bridgeport students also won second and fifth place. All are in UB's in-dustrial design...
