Jun. 25--Johnson & Wales University plans to move quickly to start construction of its new Charlotte campus by March.

Tom Dwyer, the university's chief financial officer, will lead a team of executives who over the next six months will take charge of everything from recruiting a campus president to hiring a contractor.

Dwyer's 12-person implementation team starts operating within the next few weeks from the Gateway Center office building, owned by Bank of America. The building will house classrooms and administrative offices in about 125,000 square feet, roughly 40percent of the 10-story complex.
