Stock Broker from Buffalo, N.Y., Faces Charges.

Jun. 24--Ted F. Cook, a Buffalo stock broker who worked for Legend Equities Corp., is facing charges from an industry group that he took a customer's $7,000 insurance payment and used the money for himself.

Cook, whose last address was on Humboldt Parkway, was named in a complaint filed by the National Association of Securities Dealers for allegedly telling his customer to make a $7,000 check intended to pay for long-term health insurance payable to Cook.

Rather than using the check to pay the premiums on the insurance policy, Cook used the money for himself, according to the NASD, which is the securities industry's self-regulatory organization.
