AOL Time Warner to Take Over Cable-TV System in Major Central Florida Markets.

Jun. 25--Central Florida's largest cable-TV system will be under new management by the end of the year.
AOL Time Warner will turn over control of operations in six major markets, including Orlando and Tampa, to Advance/Newhouse Communications, a Syracuse , N.Y.-based media company, the companies said Monday.
The deal affects 2.1 million cable subscribers nationwide, including more than 1.6 million in Florida -- but customers will see no immediate change in service, officials insisted.
Industry analysts said the arrangement was the best strategy for struggling AOL Time Warner, which has seen its stock price hit three-year lows. Advance/Newhouse, meanwhile, will reap...
