Vast Majority of Former Enron Workers Are Likely to Accept Severance Package.

Jun. 28--Only three of the 600 members of the Severed Enron Employees Coalition have said they will not accept a negotiated severance package of $13,500 per worker, the group said Thursday.
Based on an informal survey, coalition chairman Rod Jordan said he expects, at most, that only one or two more will not accept the settlement.
"I expected a few more of the members that are owed a lot of severance to lean toward opting out, but this is a good sign that people are ready to get this behind them and move on with their lives," he said.
The $13,500 cap is less than the $30,000 former workers asked for, but it is more than the company was required to pay under...
