UK Agency Sets New Date for Air-Traffic Talks.

Jun. 30--NATS, the UK's air traffic control service, will again try to argue for a new pricing structure when it meets the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) on Thursday.

Agreement on how much it can charge airlines is crucial for the service to secure a much-needed UKpound 50 million (E80 million) investment from BAA, the British airports operator.

Slumping air traffic after the 11 September terror attacks made a UKpound 170 million (E272 million) hole in Nats' finances which it tried to repair with emergency cost-cutting. But it needs more funds to keep its UKpound 1 billion investment programme on track and avert financial collapse.
