Texas-Based i2 Technologies to Dismiss Some Workers as Revenues Lag.

Jul. 3--Software maker i2 Technologies Inc. warned Tuesday that it would slash an unspecified number of jobs as part of a cost-cutting initiative to match expenses with a dramatically smaller revenue base.
In a conference call with analysts, the Farmers Branch-based company said second-quarter revenue was lower than Wall Street forecasts. The company said it will report on its restructuring and final results for the quarter on July 16.
Sanjiv Sidhu, i2's chairman and chief executive, said the company plans to stem losses and break even within three or four quarters.
"We can become leaner," he said. "We will become a more efficient organization."...
