Federal Agency Names Security Director for Jacksonville, Fla., Airport.

Jul. 6--A former Secret Service agent once responsible for guarding presidents has been hired as the federal security director in charge of protecting travelers who board planes at Jacksonville International Airport.

The federal Transportation Security Administration this week announced Paul Hackenberry will be the agency's point man at JIA. Hackenberry will go through two weeks of training and then start work at JIA later this month.

Hackenberry previously worked in Jacksonville as agent in charge of the Secret Service field office here. After leaving the Secret Service, he worked at the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center in Brunswick, Ga.,...
