Tragic Death Shocks Friends, Coworkers of Thomas Built Buses.

Jul. 5--Friends and coworkers mourned Thursday over the death of Pat Thomas, grandson of the founder of Thomas Built Buses.
Thomas, 71, uncle of the current president of Thomas Built Buses Inc., died in a plane crash Wednesday near his private airstrip in Chowan County.
Morris Adams, a Thomas Built Buses official who worked with Thomas for many years, said he was shocked when he heard the news of his friend's death.
"God knows why he put himself on that plane," he said. "I still can't believe that this has happened. We will miss him. He did a good job."
Adams said Thomas' accomplishments were notable.
