Jul. 8-- STUART, Fla.--THEATER HAS BEEN GOOD FOR MALL: What's good for Regal Cinemas has been good for the Treasure Coast Square mall.
Since the movie theater company opened its 16-screen stadium-seating cinema at the mall in May 2001, mall officials say it's been easier to attract national tenants.
"Regal Cinemas really helped stabilize the mall," said Rachelle Crain, marketing director for the Jensen Beach shopping center.
Retailers must agree: Lens Crafters, Limited Too, the Children's Place, Subway, women's shoe store Cathy Jean, Mia & Maxx Hair Studios, and Bags Plus Luggage plan to open at the mall by fourth quarter, Crain said.
