San Antonio, Texas, Refiner Claims Pentagon Owes $143 Million for Jet Fuel.

Jul. 12--Tesoro Petroleum Corp. filed a multimillion-dollar lawsuit last month that accuses the Pentagon of underpaying for the company's jet fuel over a 16-year period.
The San Antonio refiner's complaint, seeking more than $143 million plus interest, is similar to others filed by refiners who contend they were cheated under contracts with the Defense Energy Support Center.
Tesoro is "essentially saying that the government underpaid for the jet fuel from the early '80s on," said David Leonard, general counsel for the company's Hawaii unit.
