Waco, Texas, Business Leaders Feel Pain of Investment Losses.

Jul. 14--Scandals have rocked corporate America, and the stock market is plummeting. The carnage has left no one untouched, not even the big names of local business.
"What retirement fund? Mine just disappeared," said Terry Maness, dean of Baylor University's Hankamer School of Business, commenting on the damage to his investments.
"It has really taken a beating, and I guess it will take additional beatings," said Bill Nesbitt, chairman and CEO of Waco's Central National Bank, discussing his 401(k) plan.
The Dow Jones industrial average plunged 694.97 points last week, or 7.4 percent. Investors have lost faith in the market as corporate irregularities...
