Bangkok, Thailand-Based Merchant Bank Takes over Finance Firm.

Jul. 23--Finansa Plc, a Bangkok-based merchant bank, yesterday acquired Primus Finance Co from Ford Credit International Ltd at a cost of 250 million baht.
"The 100 percent acquisition of Primus Finance is part of our long-term strategy to develop Finansa into a full service investment banking house," said chairman Eugene Davis.
Primus Finance holds a full complement of four finance company licences.
Vorasit Pokachaiyapat, the executive director of Finansa, said the acquisition would strengthen the operation of Finansa in gaining new sources of funds and revenue.
