Income Drops 7 Percent at Walt Disney in Third Quarter.

Aug. 2--With international visitors largely staying away and tourists spending less money at the theme parks, Walt Disney Co. reported Thursday that its net income dropped 7 percent in the third quarter.
And Disney executives don't expect to have good news in the fourth quarter, either. They said the window for advance bookings at Disney World hotels has fallen to a range of 14 to 30 days from more than 60 days a year ago.
Michael Eisner, Disney's chairman, acknowledged the company's third-quarter difficulties, but said he is optimistic for the future.
