Aug. 4--TWIN FALLS, Idaho--Job data released Friday lends credence to an idea some Magic Valley leaders have promoted: The valley -- or at least its western end -- has one of the most robust economies in the state.
"We have a lot to be very happy about," said Greg Rogers, the Idaho Department of Labor's regional labor economist for Magic Valley.
New employers in western Magic Valley are forcing wages to creep up as others pay more to be competitive, Rogers said Friday. That's an observation also made this week by an out-of-state consultant hired by the Twin Falls Area Chamber of Commerce to interview local business people.
