Boston Law Firm Sends Out Layoff Notices As Restructuring Continues.

Aug. 10--More than 100 employees of the Boston law firm Peabody & Arnold on Thursday received notice of layoffs in 60 days, as the firm's partners continued to hammer out a restructuring plan.
The notices were sent to about 110 associates and administrative staff at the century-old firm -- to everyone but the partners.
The firm is in the process of breaking up, with various partner groups going to other firms and a small number of attorneys staying on at Peabody & Arnold.
A final restructuring plan is expected to be announced in coming weeks.
