Aquila Leaders Work to Preserve Credit Rating.

Aug. 21--Top executives of Aquila Inc. made their case Tuesday to three credit rating agencies in hopes of preserving the company's investment-grade credit rating.
There was no immediate comment from Aquila or the agencies: Fitch Ratings, Moody's Investors Service or Standard & Poor's Corp. Chief executive officer Robert Green, chief financial officer Dan Streek and others were to attend the meetings in New York.
Aquila shares rose 61 cents Tuesday and closed at $3.25. The stock lost more than half its value Thursday and has fallen more than 80 percent this year.
