Federal Agency Opens Job Fair for Seattle-Tacoma, Wash., Airport Screeners.

Aug. 21--A federal agency will begin looking over applicants Friday and Saturday for hundreds of security jobs at Sea-Tac Airport.
The federal Transportation Security Agency is hiring about 1,250 screeners and supervisors at salaries ranging from $26,300 to $56,400 to check baggage and passengers at Sea-Tac. The applications center will be open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Friday and Saturday at the Hilton Seattle Airport hotel at 17602 Pacific Highway S.
Under federal law, the federal screeners must take over security duties from private security companies at the nation's 459 commercial airports by Nov. 19. The Transportation Security Agency is expected to...
