Airports Operator BAA Threatens to Shelve Planned London Airport Terminal.

Aug. 25--Airports operator BAA is threatening to shelve Terminal Five at Heathrow if it is blocked from raising landing charges for airlines.
Chief executive Mike Hodgkinson has warned in an exclusive interview with Financial Mail that the new UKpound 2.5 billion terminal -- already six years behind schedule -- will not go ahead if the Civil Aviation Authority refuses BAA permission to double its fees.
Failure to build the terminal would be catastrophic for British Airways -- Heathrow's biggest user -- and could put more than 16,000 jobs in jeopardy.
