Aug. 25--Airports operator BAA is threatening to shelve Terminal 5 at Heathrow if it is blocked from raising landing charges for airlines. Chief executive Mike Hodgkinson has warned that the new UKpound 2.5 billion (euro4 billion) terminal -- already six years behind schedule -- will not go ahead if the Civil Aviation Authority refuses BAA permission to double its fees. Failure to build the terminal would be catastrophic for British Airways -- Heathrow's biggest user -- and could put more than 16,000 jobs in jeopardy.
