Pop Star Lance Bass Has Plans for Tunes in Space.

Aug. 30--SPACE CENTER, Houston -- Pop star and would-be astronaut Lance Bass says he jams with NASA managers in Russia, isn't afraid of riding a missile and is "training my butt off" to prepare for a planned Oct. 27 launch to the international space station.

And, who knows, Bass said at a Thursday news conference at the Johnson Space Center. Maybe he'll serenade his fellow astronauts in orbit.
