Sep. 5--ARROW INTERNATIONAL INC., a Bern Township-based manufacturer of medical products, purchased the assets of its New York City distributor, Stepic Medical, Wednesday from Horizon Medical Products for $12.7 million in cash.
Stepic Medical has been Arrow's distributor in the greater New York City area and parts of Connecticut and New Jersey since 1977.
Although the Arrow product line has been Stepic's major business, the company also distributed the Horizon product line and other complementary critical-care products.
Horizon will initiate its own direct distribution with Stepic Medical continuing to sell the Arrow and complementary critical-care products.
