Pembroke Pines, Fla., Hospital Plans Second Expansion.

Sep. 11--PEMBROKE PINES, Fla.-- Memorial Hospital West wants to expand again, this time building a 58,000-square-foot, two-story expansion of the emergency room.

It also plans to move the helicopter pad to the roof of the expanded building, so it will be closer than its current location across a parking lot.

The city's Planning & Zoning Board, in a 3-1 vote, recently approved Memorial Healthcare System's requests to allow construction.
