American Airlines Marketing Executive Retires after 32 years.

Sep. 21--Michael Gunn, one of the top-ranking officers at AMR Corp., parent company of American Airlines Inc., retired from his job on Friday.

Mr. Gunn, 57, spent 32 years with the airline company in a variety of sales, advertising and marketing jobs. He was promoted to executive vice president marketing and planning in 1998.

"Mike's contributions to American are enormous, and he will be greatly missed." said Donald Carty, chief executive of AMR.

Mr. Gunn's early retirement had been planned for a while, according to spokesman Tim Doke. But when he hit his 57th birthday and 32nd anniversary with American he decided to go ahead and make it official, Mr. Doke said....
