American Legion Holds Chicken Wing Cook-Off Fund-Raiser.

Sep. 26--WAPAKONETA, Ohio--Chicken wings will help raise money for Ohio veterans at the first Wapak Wing Fest on Oct. 19.
Event organizers hope the wings will rival the winners of the annual Rays Northwest Ohio Rib Cook Off in Lima.
American Legion Post 330 is sponsoring the event. It will be held under tents in the post parking lot from noon to 9 p.m., rain or shine. The Wapakoneta Chained Eagles Club will have the Moving Wall listing veterans on display.
Organizers Todd Ewald and Judy Fisher said the plan is to have the area's top chicken wing cooks step forward and claim one of three top prizes. "We want this to be like the rib cook-off in Lima. We...
