Sep. 13--APC ALSO TRADES ON AMEX: American Power Conversion Corp.'s stock started trading on the American Stock Exchange yesterday, one of 120 Nasdaq-listed companies that will all begin trading on the Amex by the middle of October. In August, the Securities and Exchange Commission approved trading of the Nasdaq's most-active stocks on the American Exchange. The first 12 Nasdaq stocks started trading on the Amex on Aug. 12. It is now trading a total of 41 Nasdaq-listed stocks. Yesterday, in addition to APC, Apple Computer Inc. and Veritas Software Corp. also started trading on Amex. APC's stock fell 35 cents yesterday to close at $11.45 a share.
