Oct. 8--Out of work? Galesburg has created a program for displaced workers. Galesburg Regional Economic Development Association (GREDA), along with Carl Sandburg College's Center for Agriculture Business and Industry (CABI) and Western Illinois University's Small Business Development Center (SBDC) have developed a plan to aid area displaced workers.
The plan includes a four-session workshop targeted to the entrepreneur interested in starting or expanding a small business. CABI, in cooperation with WIU, is offering the seminar at a substantially lowered cost to those attending. The SBDC and GREDA will provide ongoing consultation to fledgling entrepreneurs and expanding businesses....
