New Convention Space at Walt Disney World Hotels Keep Meetings Coming.

Oct. 14--Without the new convention space at Walt Disney World's Swan and Dolphin hotels, the 10,000-person meeting there last week hosted by Gartner Group would probably have been held in another city.
"We would have been forced to look elsewhere," said Leon Shapiro, a senior vice president at the research and advisory firm based in Stamford, Conn.
That's partly because Gartner is picky. The company needs a lot of space, phones and computer hookups. But attendees are increasingly bringing along their families as well as their laptops. So there's demand for recreational amenities aplenty.
