DaimlerChrysler chooses Pooler, Ga., for Van Plant.

Oct. 18--After months of speculation, clandestine meetings, and no-comment answers to questions about the project code-named Bluebell, Georgia's worst-kept economic development secret is out.
Gov. Roy Barnes is expected to announce later today that he has successfully lured DaimlerChrysler to Pooler.
Starting in July, the automaker is expected to begin building a $750 million, 2.3 million square-foot Sprinter Van plant.
News of the announcement started trickling out Thursday, as Lt. Gov. Mark Taylor made a campaign trip to Athens.
